Licensing Agreements and Related Documents

DTLA offers licenses to manufacture products with DTCP and to encode DTCP in protected content on a nondiscriminatory basis.

Companies that wish to incorporate DTCP in their products should sign an Adopter Agreement. Current and new Adopters that wish to implement localized versions of DTCP-IP, DTCP-1394, or localized versions of DTCP over any of the DTCP transports, also should execute an Adopter Addendum.

Content owners can encode content to be protected with DTCP without signing any agreement pursuant to DTLA's IP Statement, or can consider signing a Content Participant Agreement.

• Statement Upon Release of May 2005 Adopter Agreement, with interpretive statements applicable to provisions in the June 2007 agreement.
• Testing Extension to enable DTCP compliance testing (e.g., for DLNA and other purposes) using content other than "Commercial Entertainment Content." This is a unilateral statement from DTLA. Adopters that comply with the terms of the Extension do not have to sign any additional documentation.
